Alex Mendez' Electric Quartet er et nyt band baseret Alex Mendez’ musik og sange. Bandet består af 4 erfarne musikere fra Cuba, Chile og Danmark: Alex Mendez (guit, vok.), Paulo Villegas (tr.), Kasper Bai (guit) og Martin Krogh (bas). Teksterne er spanske og musikken fusionerer Jazz, Rock, Reggae, Blues, klassisk musik og meget andet. Alex Mendez tager afsæt i den Cubanske sangskrivetradition, trova, og skaber en ny lyd ved skifte instrumenteringen til et, for Cubansk musik utraditionelt, klassisk rock setup med to elguitarer, elbas og trommer.

HOUSE OF AUGUST (DK)
House of August - Sanger og sangskriver Stine Steendorph inviterer indenfor i huset med melankolske trappeopgange, ensomme værelser og udsigt til sensommerens mørkglødede lys. Her findes lyden af umiddelbare kompositioner, upolerede følelser, overtoner, undertoner, støvede keyboards og svalende guitarer.
Om musikken siger Stine: ”Hvor jeg ofte har endevendt hver eneste detalje i min musik før den bliver delt, giver jeg i House Of August plads til sangenes rå og upolerede form. Jeg var nysgerrig efter at høre – og bevare lyd og tekst fra min umiddelbare underbevidsthed, og elsker hvordan sangene på denne måde kan skifte farve og ham hver eneste gang, jeg spiller dem – dog altid med samme stærke dna som første gang, jeg sang dem”.

Annette Odimer –Love Your Way, kom i januar 2015 ud med deres andet album Sacred Figures, hvori omdrejningspunktet er menneskets flerartede oplevelse af det hellige.
Musikken kan karakteriseres som melodisk med mange fine detaljer indhyllet i organiske arrangementer, hvor Odimer med sin stemme formår at kombinere det næsten uudholdelige sarte med det rå og hudløse. Dette bliver solidt understøttet og forstærket af kontrabassist Joachim B. Thönen, der har medvirket på flere anmelder roste udgivelser.
Selvom det er den nordiske stemning der dominerer denne Annette Odimer’s musikalske univers, bliver det genremæssigt flirtet med alt fra lyrisk folk, eftertænksom pop, punk til jazz og viser.
I Odimer’s sangskrivning er det vigtig at få det hele med, via sin musik ønsker hun at spejle tilværelsens mange facetter, uden at ha til hensigt at hverken rendyrke eller fortrænge specifikke følelses udryk. Hendes intention er at skabe musik der virker opløftende og forløsende både på hende selv og andre.
Sang teksterne, der er både på engelsk og norsk, er stærkt inspireret af naturen, og søger hele tiden hen til det sted hvor alt falder på plads. Blandt teksterne finder vi titler som ”Enkelt”, ”Tak”, ”Den Endeløse Stillhed”, ”I Havn” og ”Out of the Flames”.

Der er højt til loftet og ikke så langt til bunden, når sangskriver, musiker og sangerinde Gunni går på scenen med sine dansksprogede sange. Med eftertænksomhed, humor og uden forbehold.
Hun bor i en trailerpark. Er uddannet klovn. Skriver sange med politiske budskaber og er selvudnævnt feminist. Spiller flere instrumenter og er vokset op med Cornelis Wresvijk og sigøjnermusik. Så det er måske ikke så underligt, hun ikke lyder som alle de andre. Det har nu heller aldrig været meningen. Heller ikke med hendes nyeste album INTAKT, der som overskrift handler om at være dét – på trods af “knubs, skibbrud og tørretumbler.” Og i øvrigt turde være sig selv.

Klub Deroute #26 - October 1st
Juan Pino and Knud Grumløse +Teresa Bangsgaard
It is time to relaunch Klub Deroute and its concept, for this we invited some old friends to come down with their friends and bring some more friends to make new friends :-)
JUAN PINO & KNUD GRUMLØSE
This is a premiere, for the first time Juan and Knud join their love for music and traveling together with some old friends and last minute guests.
Knud used to sail around Denmark playing blues on his harmonica and old working class songs on accordion. In 1976 he ended up in Latin America where he was initiated to the local moves on a dance floor in Bogotá. Back in DK he formed the first Scandinavian cumbia band, Cumbia del Festival. Since then he has used his accordion to connect with people and different cultures, from the Balkans to the Mediterranean and the Nordic seas.
Juan has a similar story behind, his mother was traveling in South America in 1976, where she was initiated into street theater (that is how he came to live later on). Juan was brought to Denmark by a Nordic mermaid, here he discovered odd eastern rhythms and the way back to his Latin roots.

Teresa opens the evening with her passionate and sensitive songs. She has roots in Århus and Bilbao (daughter of the musician Santiago Ibarretxe) and brings together the best of those towns: warmth and intimacy.

Klub Deroute #25 - September 3rd - Lukkif + Ink Elk + Pilgrim
This first Deroute of the season is dedicated to pirates, travelers, mermaids, vagabonds and other warriors of this world, it is our own humble vision on what "world music" could be, far from exotic melodies and global theories, right there where your feet are stomping and your sails are blowing.
This event is part of the Copenhagen World Music Festival.
LUKKIF
The singer Jullie Hjetland explores Scandinavian folk music in a futuristic direction, building on the clash of contrasts to create a new musical experience. A feisty and exuberant electronic universe rooted in the Nordic tradition.
Lukkif sings in the languages she learned in her mother’s boat in Denmark, with her father as he laid nets in Norway as well as in the little wooden dinghy in the Swedish archipelago where she also lived as a child:
“My grandmother taught me to sing my first song which was “Vem Kan Segla För Utan Vind” (Who Can Sail Without Wind). She was Norwegian, I was born in Denmark, and the song is Swedish. That’s a good summary of how both my life and career have evolved”.

INK ELK
Ink Elk is the culmination of two femmes' efforts to make music work as a means of survival.
Composed of Swedish singer/songwriter Izabelle Noren and American singer/songwriter Rae Stout, Ink Elk’s songs tell the stories of two queer youth who have spent the last couple years making Home wherever their feet and music take them.
Ranging from an urban, organic version of street pop to something reminiscent of an old forgotten house in the woods, soaked by rain and cigarette butts and previously inhabited by a Spanish guitar player who dreamed of playing punk music, Ink Elk’s sound is dynamic and complex. The music, grounded in lived experience, is so real and alive that it could be someone standing next to you.

"I started playing guitar with my 16 years old.
Instinctively I learned to play with musicians, jams, bands and traveling. Most of my influences come from the sixties by artists such as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Stones and others.
At the moment I am on a pilgrimage to reach my soul with the sound."
This brought him to spend the summer on an old Norwegian boat inhabited by south Europeans pirates at the harbor of Copenhagen, now he will join Klub Deroute with his tribe.

Inspireret af amerikanske bands som Iron and Wine og Phosporecent tager musikken afsæt i enkle melankolske melodier og et kantet væv af folkguitar og vokal.
Med på scenen denne aften er Klub Deroute's egen Isabel Douglas (accordion) og Maria Jørgensen (vokal).
Derefter spiller JUJU ME.
JUJU ME’s musikalske univers, der kunne kaldes lo-fi pop, kendetegnes af Stine Steendorph Petersens mørke klang og personlige udtryk. Sangene er fyldt med ironi og flabet distance. JUJU ME har fundet fælles inspirationen hos bands som Talking Heads, Liquid Liquid, Beach House og Broadcast. Stines vokal svæver over sitrende elektriske guitarer, drømmende drengekor og kantede beats.
JUJU ME er et nyt navn der består af erfarne kræfter. Medlemmerne har bl.a. spillet i Lovespeed, Penny Police, Tårn og The Asteroids Galaxy Tour.
Tilsammen har de skabt et univers der på en gang er umiddelbart, skævt poppet og imødekommende, men samtidig har bagdøren åben til det eksperimenterende og skrøbelige…

"The Sleeping bears" brings mellow country/bluegrass into the coloured stage of Underhuset, banjo, violin, dubble bass, guitars and sweet vocal harmonies.

Klub Deroute #21.5 - March 5th - Romani Carita + Nenic Duo
And we're back in action!!!!
Klub Deroute returns triumphant and ready to get down (boogie that is) with some truly rumbling beats brought to you by some of the most nimble fingered, groovalicious Romani figures of North Europe, Southern Scandinavia.
An evening of Gypsy wedding music brought to you with a most sophisticated and virtuosic intensity. Starting the night will be the Nenic Duo (Nikola Nenic on accordion and Jovica Zurz on violin), the next generation of musicians trained by their families. Following will be Romani Carita - (vocals, violin, accordion, piano, and drums) playing favorites from such masters as Branimir Djokic, Miodrag Krnjevac, Saban Bajramovic and Esma Redzepova.

Klub Deroute #20 - December 4th - Trypical Cumbia + Orkestar álla Turca
Trypical Cumbia played one of their first concerts at Klub Deroute last year, a great start followed by more then 50 concerts around Copenhagen, now it is time to come back for another typical tropical party trip!
Trypical Cumbia is the expression of the "mestisaje", the travelling of the people, the mix of cultures. Expect an unpolished groove that collects whatever has been found in the travel from the deep Amazon forest, up to the Andean mountains, down to the Caribbean coast and crossing the Atlantic ocean 'til the streets of Europe.

Siden 2007 har“King Mustafa”opbygget et kæmpe repertoire af kompositionerfra Orientens forunderlige verden af musik, som dette nye projekt bringer over i en klassisk tyrkisk retning med smukke instrumentale numre.
Musikken bliver spillet på traditionelle instrumenter fra Tyrkiet som Kanun,(tyrkisk harpe). Oud (luttens arabiske fætter) og violin.Gruppens brændende kærlighed til musik og det traditionelle autentiske udtryk, leverer et storslået indblik i et svundet, såvel som nulevende Istanbul.

We keep digging into the Latin underground of Denmark with fierce flamenco and dreamy marimba!
BOLUDERÌA
The quartet ‘Boludería’ was established in the beginning of 2013 around the singer, dancer and guitarist Francisca Marchan. Since then the group has found its expression mainly within the ‘rumba flamenca’ but goes also into the more profound flamenco tradicion of bulería, alegría, sevillanas and soleá. ‘Boludería’ works with dance as a part of their music.

Musik med sjæl.
Latinamerikansk musik og egne kompositioner.
”Trés” er en musikalsk trio, et møde mellem tre forskellige musikere og deres historier.
Trioen arbejder primært med latinamerikansk musik, poesi og egne kompositioner. I deres
show arbejde de sammen med andre kunstnere om at integrere forskellige kunstformer, som
poesi, film, VJ, billeder.
Andres Pineda er ”singer/songwriter” fra Guatemala. Han kom til Danmark i 2012 og siden
har præsenteret sine sange på forskellige singer/songwriter spillesteder i København.
Ian Natanael kommer fra Spanien og spiller bas og guitar. Hans musikalitet og udtryksfulde
måde at spille på bliver fremhævet når han spiller på sin ”fretless” bas.
Fernando Massino fra Argentina spiller slagtøj og trommer. Hans rødder står dybt i den
argentinske folkemusik, og derfra bidrager han til trioens sjæl med sin på en gang traditionelle
og urbane lyd.

Los Fuegos is a multicultural band located in Kolding Denmark.The band members come from different countries and musical traditions, which makes their original material a unique experience that displays the wild ecstatic energy of balkan, the raw instinctive passion of cumbia, the waving flow of reggae and the aggressive phrasing of rock.
Their lyrical content presents a variety of multilingual narratives that emphasize their reality as immigrants in a foreign country. Los Fuegos’ are an opportunity to experience different cultures and music styles all at once.
Their ultimate purpose is to clash European audiences with their subversive musical fashion and open minds and senses towards foreign and unconventional forms of art.

Klub Deroute #14 - March 6th - Kalles Najar and Strengeleg
KALLES NAJAR (Greek/rumanian speed guitar) Dk/US
Med speciale i finger-brydning og underlige fiskeretter, har gruppen brugt deres evner til at skabe denne fortryllende omgang folkemusik, som hvor mor ville gøre det...Lidt bulgarsk disko og rumænsk støvledans tilsat noget græsk rock og rull, sovset ind i strengeinstrumenter og med sirlig harmonika paa toppen. Bandet har et bredt repetoir og går godt til alt fra bryllupper og begravelser, til fødselsdage og skilsmisser indefor mange kulturer, saa alle ka vaere med. Musikken serveres bedst med hvidvin eller raki indenbords.

på bas balalajka og to guitarer.Jesper Lund og Andreas Ugorskij fra bandet Klezmofobia er gået sammen med guitaristen Jacob Kolkur og har lavet en ny trio der tripper på swing manouche, sigøjner valse, Balkan lir og klezmerrytmer.Hør denne trio før den blir brændende hed og eftertragtet - og kom gerne med er seriøst forslag til et navn efter koncerten!!

Klub Deroute #13 - February 6th - Klepti Klepti and Colores
The first Deroute of 2014 will have the twisted Balkan grooves of Klepti band (they played last year at the Deroute Jazz Festival) and the rumba flamenca of Colores (they had to play in December but the show was canceled because of the storm Bodil...)

KLEPTI KLEPTI
Drengene fra Klepti Klepti har været en tur rundt om blokken og har suget inspiration til sig fra alle verdenshjørner til deres nye EP, der udkommer i 2013. EP'en består hovedsageligt af egne kompositioner, der er lavet med lige dele underspillet humor og balkangalskab. Inspirationen kommer fra Balkan, Tyrkiet, afrobeat, ethiopisk funk, klubmusik og dansk bodegastemning. Klepti Klepti betegner selv deres andet album som et varmt og fantasifuldt manifest.
Bandet, der består af Sven på saxofon, Kristoffer på accordeon, Anders på tuba, Mads på orgel og Kristoffer på trommer, er kendt som et velspillende, særdeles energisk og pågående liveband. I studiet har de fem drenge udforsket andre sider af musikken og formået at omsætte live-energien til lytteværdig verdensmusik på dansk.
